Typical temperature field in a FLOX®-fired combustion
chamber.
In contrast to a classical flame, which forms a highly
intensive reaction zone at the burner mouth, fuel gas and air are injected this
kind, that the reaction takes place downstream distributed in the
combustion chamber. Ignition takes place only by recirculation of hot gases
in the combustion chamber. This leads to extremely low NOx-emissions and allows
stable operation even with low calorific gases.
